-Patrick Henry of Virginia made the Virginia resolves
-Samuel Adams founded Sons of Liberty
-Made stamp Act congress represents from 9 colonies
-1766 the Stamp Act is repealed
-Declaratory Act Parliament has the right to make laws for the colonies in all matters
-Townshend Revenue Act 1767 it put more tax on colonists
-Daughters of Liberty boycotted British cloth
-Sent troops to Boston to protect the custom house
-1770 Boston Massacre happens when 5 people get shot
-King George III doesn’t repeal tea tax
-1773 Tea Act tea is allowed to be sold at a low price and is the reason of Boston Tea Party
-John Adams thinks Tea Party is bold and daring
-Tea Party is when people throw tea into the harbor
-1773 Intolerable Acts are started. Boston harbor is closed down. Any British person -breaks a law they are sent to Britain to be tried. You have to quarter soldiers. There can’t have public town meetings in Boston.
-1774 First Continental Congress all colonies except Georgia attend. Will become the “Government” for the length of the war.
